Why Read this Blog?

This blog is about living and working in Charleston, directed mostly toward those that are considering or planning a move to Charleston.  I am a real estate agent, specializing in residential real estate sales representing buyers and sellers; mostly buyers.  We hope to hear from those that have completed the process, or are in the middle and are willing to share the problems they’ve had as well as the solutions they found.  If you want to hear what real people have to say about living and working in Charleston, then come back and visit us regularly.  To the right on “Blogroll”, you’ll see a list of helpful links that will help you learn more about living and working in Charleston.

I work with Keller Williams Realty in North Charleston as a residential sales real estate agent.

8992 University Blvd, St 300 N Charleston SC 29406.  843-414-4600.  Hope you enjoy my approach to promotion.  Sales copy is pretty boring stuff, so I thought this might work better.

When you get a chance, please visit my “LENS”.  The address is www.squidoo.com/move2charleston  That’s one of my LENSes anyway.  It’s a new communication tool I think you’ll enjoy…you may want to create a few lenses of your own.  And if you don’t know what a LENS is, visit mine and you’ll see.  Also, you can visit www.squidoo.com and download an ebook that will explain what they are and why they’re important.  It could be the next evolution of internet research.  We’ll see.

Also, I want to refer you to our online guide for Charleston SC, www.charlestonsfinest.com.  It’s pretty comprehensive with tons of well-organized links on just about anything you can imagine about Charleston SC.

  1. Do you have any interest in linking blogs? My site is
http://www.flippingrich.com a real estate blog in Minnesota.

  2. Hi there. My question may seem out of the norm, but I’ll try. I’m considering moving to Chucktown from DC, and will be taking a pay cut. Do you know how I can figure out if the pay cut is feasible in a lower-cost-of-living city compared to DC? Thanks for any help…

  3. I know there are resources out there that provide more specific data. Generally speaking, the main savings will be housing. Everything else will be about the same. Housing costs very from different parts of town. I grew up in Falls Church Virginia where the house I grew up in now sells for about $500k. I would take a look at http://www.Move2Charleston.com. You’ll need to get to know the area a bit to find the area of town that’s right for you.

  4. Charleston Habitat for Humanity is trying to update our comunications strategy. I viewed your site and think some links to our ReStore might be valuable to your homebuyers, redecorators, etc. Please take a look and let me know if you want to connect.

    Habitat Blessings!

  5. Amy, Salary.com has a pretty good Cost of Living Calculator you might want to visit at http://swz.salary.com/costoflivingwizard/layoutscripts/coll_start.asp

    Hope this helps!

  6. I found your blog helpful and gave the link to friends moving down from NJ. Thanks for all the good info.
