Where else are you going to find a John Wieland Built Home on a Golf Course, 1900+ square feet listed for $227,000? (I’ll tell you the real sale price after it closes.) This is a great floor plan with the Master down, huge cathedral ceilings, wood floors in foyer, dining, and living room, formal dining, 4br, 2.5 bath. Quite a find I think. We looked at many homes to find this one, there was one other that ran a close second. 2250 square feet was really more than my client needed, but 901 Courseview Ct had some similar features, wood floors in the dining and living areas, cathedral ceilings, master down, good privacy. Would have made a great choice if we hadn’t been able to work something out on the first one. And the 1900+ square feet will work great for this client.
Another great choice, in different price bracket is 3000 Vista Ct. Listed for $309,000 with over 2500 square feet, 3 bedrooms and an office downstairs, with a full guest suite upstairs. Once again, terrific cathedral ceilings and amazing natural light. This home is much less per square foot than the new homes selling in The Club, and it’s a block away from the real club house at Legend Oaks Plantation.

You can drive through Legend Oaks almost any time of day and see people out with their friends and their dogs, working in the yard, and talking to their neighbors. A close friend of mine lives out there. He and his wife just moved down a little over a year ago from Connecticut. He said that they’ve made more friends here than in five years up there. They’re members of the golf club, so they do get out a lot, but I get the impression that Legend Oaks is really something special, and well worth looking into. Especially if you’re looking for a social lifestyle. And if you don’t have a big budget, or don’t want to have to deal with maintenance, they have condos starting at about $173,000 for over 1400 square feet, plenty of space for most couples or singles.
The only con I can think of for Legend Oaks is the commute. If you have to go into the office everyday at 8 or 9 in the morning, you could be in for a pretty long ride. But if you work odd hours, or can control your hours, you’ll be fine.
